Board of Soil and Water Resources

  • The Board of Soil and Water Resources recieved Special Legislative funding of $3,000,000 for Erosion, Sediment and Water Quality cost sharing and $1,000,000 for RIM Conservation Easements.
     
  • As of Feb. 251, 2008, $1,790,569 in local cost share money had been appropriated, including more than $240,000 for cost share on Natural Resource and Conservation Service emergency projects in Winona and Houston counties. An additional $1,209,431 is either obligated or pending in applications.
     
    BWSR recieved an additional $1,000,000 in Special Legilative funds for RIM (Reinvest in Minnesota). BWSR made available $1,100,000 from it's bonding appropriation for a total of $2.1 million available.
     
    To date 56 RIM applications have been recieved totalling 1,376 acres asking for $3.6 million. Review of these applications for funding are ongoing at this time.
