Community Assistance

• MN Public Facilities Authority received $10,000,000 in Special Legislative appropriation. The PFA has worked with a variety of funding and regulatory agencies to develop a sound plan of action, including developing funding solutions to repair or replace damaged infrastructure.
   
  As of Feb. 1,2008, the PFA has received more than $47,800,000 in applications for funding. To date, more than $5,500,000 in grants had been approved for at least 13 communities to repair infrastructure, including water supply systems, wastewater treatment facilities, storm sewers, mitigation and other needs. Additional information is being sought to disburse the remaining money.
   
• Small Cities Development Program has provided $270,000 to help communities cover administrative costs associated with flood recovery efforts.
